THE HISTORY OF COMPUTER

               In the early age they used the mechanical counting device such as stones, trees, stick e.t.c.                The Chinese later invented the abacus, the abacus was only used for addition and subtraction; hence, it could not be used for multiplication & division.                In 1642, the first mechanical machine which could do both addition and subtraction, was invented by a French mathematician called BLAISE PASCA.              The next was the invention of a machine, which was able to perform multiplication and division in 1671 by a German called GOTTFREIED LEBNITZ.            In 1822, an English Mathematician called SIR CHARLES BABBAGE  built a machine called Difference Engine.
